Founder & Co-Founder of multiple community initiatives that seek to empower Māori communities in the tech space. Kaihautū (Leader) and Founder of Te Matarau. Born and raised in Whakatāne, Lee now lives with his whānau in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton).
Read More →Kia ora! Ko Taane Taiepa tōku ingoa. Ko Tūhoe raua ko Ngati Whare ōku iwi. Born and raised in Ōtautahi (Christchurch), Taane finished his BCom (InfoSys and HRM) at Te Whare Wananga O Waitaha (The University of Canterbury) in October 2021. Since then, he has been assisting Lee with the operations and establishment of Te Matarau and working full-time as a consultant in the Digital Advisory team at WSP. Prior to joining WSP, Taane has 2+ years experience in the telecommunications industry, and 1 year of experience working as an independent IT Consultant.
